Upon returning to NYC, Dance Fusion found the clubs they once called home were shuttered.
In the late 90s, at the heigh of club culture in NYC, Mayor Giuliani’s quality of life campaign decimated venues across the city, using the Cabaret Law as a legal weapon.

The law functioned as a pretext that legitimized prejudice and fueled false narratives targeted at clubheads across the city.
